Emotion Code Therapy in Northampton

Your body remembers everything. Long after a difficult experience has passed, the emotions it left behind can remain — stored in the body as trapped energy, quietly influencing how you feel, how you function, and how much pain you carry.

Emotion Code is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that identifies and releases those trapped emotions, one at a time. Developed by Dr Bradley Nelson, it uses simple muscle testing to locate emotional energy held in the body and release it — without you having to relive what you have been through.

You do not have to share your story

This is one of the things clients find most surprising — and most relieving.

You do not need to talk through past traumas or difficult memories for Emotion Code to work. The process works directly with the body’s energy field. Whatever you have been carrying, you can begin to release it at your own pace, in your own privacy.

What does Emotion Code help with?

Trapped emotions can show up in many ways — physically, emotionally, and in patterns that feel impossible to shift. Emotion Code is particularly effective for:

  • Anxiety and chronic stress
  • Unresolved grief or loss
  • Emotional blocks — feeling stuck, numb, or disconnected
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Chronic pain with no clear physical cause
  • Low mood and emotional heaviness
  • Relationship and self-worth patterns

What happens in a session?

Sessions are calm and unhurried. Using muscle testing, Tessa identifies which trapped emotions are ready to be released and where they are held in the body. Each emotion is acknowledged and gently cleared using a simple technique along the governing meridian.

Most clients find sessions deeply relaxing. Some notice a shift immediately; for others, changes unfold gradually over the days that follow. A course of sessions is usually recommended to work through layers of held emotion.

Sessions last 60 minutes.

For those that do not feel comfortable sharing past traumas or difficult memories — you will be relieved to know that you do not have to share exactly what you have been through, and it is just as effective.

Tess is such a kind and warm person with a huge amount of experience and knowledge in her field. I always look forward to our sessions and cannot recommend her enough.”

Frequently asked questions

What does Emotion Code help with?

Emotion Code works with a wide range of physical and emotional concerns — anxiety, grief, chronic pain, trauma, emotional blocks, and patterns that feel impossible to shift. It is particularly effective for people who feel they have tried other approaches without lasting results.

Is the Emotion Code good for trauma?

Yes. One of the most valued aspects of Emotion Code is that you do not need to revisit or discuss traumatic experiences for the therapy to work. The process works with the body’s energy field directly, making it a gentle option for trauma that feels too difficult to address through talking therapies.

Is the Emotion Code good for anxiety?

Emotion Code is commonly used to address the root emotional causes behind anxiety. Rather than managing symptoms, it aims to release the underlying trapped emotions that may be contributing to anxious patterns.

How do you release trapped emotions from the body?

Emotion Code uses muscle testing to identify trapped emotions and a technique along the governing meridian to release them. It is non-invasive and requires no physical pressure or manipulation.
